Only this year, DSR operatives of the National Police reported suspicions of five “bodies in the law”
The head of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police Ruslan Marchuk announced this today, May 20.
According to him, special attention in the fight against organized crime is paid to the subjects of increased criminal influence — “doors in the law”.
“Only this year we reported the suspicion to five “guards in the law”, — added Ruslan Marchuk.
Also, more than 70 people this year were suspected of spreading and establishing criminal influence, in accordance with the latest changes in the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The head of the Department also noted:
“This law has become revolutionary in its essence in the fight against organized crime and an additional tool in eradicating this phenomenon in society.”
As an example, yesterday, May 19, operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Poltava region together with law enforcement colleagues detained a “policeman” from the “plague in the law” in Poltava region. He coordinated the activities of criminal groups of the region, spread criminal influence. During the conflict situation, he organized the wholesale murder of one of his opponents.
It is established that, in addition to the “position”, three more people are involved in the attempted murder of a 37-year-old man.
All four defendants received reports of suspicion of attempted murder with additional qualifications, and “authority” - also for establishing and spreading criminal influence.
