Cadets and students of KHNUVS took part in the information event “NATO Day”
Higher education graduates of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, first vice-rector of the university, Colonel of Police Dmytro Shvets, Head of the Department of International Cooperation Olena Ustymenko and representatives of the scientific and pedagogical staff of KHNUVS took part in the remote information event “NATO Day”.
The event was aimed at informing young people about the implementation of the state policy of Euro-Atlantic integration, raising awareness about the activities and development of the North Atlantic Alliance and understanding the main directions of Ukraine-NATO cooperation in the security sphere.
The information event was opened by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Tetiana Kovalchuk and Director of NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine Vinet Klayne.
Informative reports were presented by: Head of the Eastern Partnership Unit of the NATO International Secretariat Tanya Hartman, Representative of the Department for Interaction with NATO Partner Countries of the Department of Public Diplomacy of the NATO International Secretariat Barbora Maronkova, Head of the Expert Group on the Development of the Annual National Programmes under the auspices of the Ukraine-NATO Commission of the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Inna Potapova, Head of the European and Euro-Atlantic Directorate Integration of the Directorate of Strategic Planning and European Integration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Lyudmila Chubynska, Senior Project Manager of the Ukraine-NATO Program for Professional Development Anastasia Mishkina, representative of the NATO Integrity Building Program of the NATO International Secretariat Nadia Milanova and Director of the Information and Documentation Center NATO in Ukraine Vineta Kleine.
During the event, speakers discussed issues related to NATO activities, key principles and priorities of the Organization, the NATO-2030 Strategy, the Annual National Programme as a key document for Euro-Atlantic integration, the current state and prospects of Euro-Atlantic integration in the security sphere. In addition, the speakers paid considerable attention to practical support for Ukraine, such as the NATO Professional Development Program, the NATO Integrity Building Program: the implementation of training programs in the security and defense sectors, strategic communications and the fight against disinformation.
Participants actively participated in the information event — participated in a quiz with memorable prizes on the topic “NATO”, asked questions to speakers about NATO activities and NATO cooperation with Ukraine. To all questions, applicants for higher education received comprehensive answers from the speakers.
