The cadet of the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine, while on vacation, showed efficiency during the elimination of the consequences of the fire
A cadet of the 4th year of the Faculty of Fire Safety of the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine Nazar Pokotylo, while on vacation in his native village of Grozov, Rivne region, became a participant in the liquidation of the emergency situation.
The incident occurred on December 30 at 16:30 in the young man's home village. As a result of a malfunction of the gas stove, the auxiliary building of a neighboring house began to burn. At that time, Nazar and his family were going to celebrate his father's birthday.
The news of the extraordinary event was brought by the cadet's younger brother. So, without wasting time, the father and the future rescuer rushed to the aid of the neighbors.
Arriving at the scene, the father and son saw that the strip of the neighboring summer kitchen was burning, which is almost 40 square meters, and the fire was about to spill over to a private house. They quickly called 101. Assessing the situation and the inaction of the distraught neighbors, the future rescuer ordered everyone not to stand, but to carry water hastily. He and his father also began to extinguish the fire using buckets of water and snow. By joint efforts, the fire was extinguished even before the arrival of firefighters.
So, thanks to the promptness and courageous actions of the future rescuer, it was possible to avoid serious consequences of the fire.
Nazar himself does not consider his actions heroic, he says that everyone would do so. And he decided to become a rescuer for a reason: since childhood, he saw how his grandfather Vladimir Pavlovich fought fire, and he is also a liquidator of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl NPP, and now his uncle holds the post of the chief of the guard in the Main Unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Rivne region. Therefore, the cadet Nazar Pokotylo follows the examples of his close ones and implements his plans to guard the life and peace of our citizens.
