Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement Activities supported two draft laws of the Ministry of Internal Affairs — Bohdan Drapyaty

This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs during the first meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement, which took place today, October 6.

“I thank the People's Deputies of Ukraine — members of the Committee for supporting two government bills developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” Bohdan Drapyaty said.

In particular, the Committee decided to recommend that parliamentarians adopt as a basis the draft law “On amending Article 95 of the Law of Ukraine “On the National Police” of April 24, 2021. He proposes to supplement Article 95 with a new part on compulsory passage of police officers who ensured national security and deterred armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, free psychological, medico-psychological rehabilitation in health facilities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Committee also recommends that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopt as a basis the draft law “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Concerning the Activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine” No 4622 dated 21.01.2021. Its purpose is to improve the legislation in the sphere of activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine and to harmonize the provisions of legislative acts, which will ensure proper regulatory and legal regulation of the activities of these bodies.
