Kyiv investigators informed the heads of the state-owned enterprise of suspicion of embezzlement of budget funds

By their actions, the attackers caused damage to the state in the amount of more than 260 thousand hryvnias. For their actions, they are threatened with imprisonment for up to eight years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions.

Investigators of the Obolon Police Department together with the Security Service of Ukraine under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office №5 initiated criminal proceedings against officials of the state specialized enterprise.

During the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers found that the CEO and his deputy initiated the procurement of fuel and lubricants for the needs of the company's divisions. The amount agreed by the head was 80 thousand liters of diesel fuel.

Law enforcers found out that in the electronic public procurement system, the tender committee started the relevant procurement. Among the seven participants, they chose an enterprise with a much lower than market value. The tender offer was the cost of 16.5 hryvnias for one liter of fuel. However, after the signing of the main contract, the partners concluded three additional agreements with an increase in the cost of goods to 21.06 hryvnias per liter, which reduced the amount of fuel received from 80,000 to 63 600 liters. With their illegal actions, accomplices caused the state losses in the amount of more than 260 thousand hryvnias.

Investigators of the Obolon Police Department informed the defendants about the suspicion of committing a crime: one — according to part 5 of article 27, part 4 of article 191, the other — according to part 4 of article. 191 (Appropriation, embezzlement of property or possession of it by abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Offenders face imprisonment for up to eight years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
