Cyberpolice exposed almost half a hundred people in the distribution, creation and marketing of child pornography

Cyberpolice officers conducted a preventive operation, tentatively called “The Web,” aimed at countering the spread of pornography involving children on the Internet. A total of 47 searches were conducted and more than 18 terabytes of illegal content were seized.

During the operation, together with the investigative units of the National Police, 47 defendants were exposed.

In the capital, cyber police have identified two unrelated women who created porn content with the participation of their own children. Later, the filmed materials of the participants were sold on the Internet. The affected children are currently being placed in rehabilitation centers. The attacker was detained.

In Odessa, law enforcement officers exposed five local residents aged 39 to 45 who, in order to illegally enrich themselves, created more than 300 sites where pornographic videos and photos were uploaded, in particular with the participation of children.

Another resident of the Odessa region was declared a suspect in the corruption of minors. A 24-year-old man met children on the Internet with the aim of further meetings and committing sexual acts against them.

In Khmelnytskyi Oblast, cyber police have exposed a man in the sale of child pornography. The defendant in the messenger sold illegal content that he received from children by blackmailing them and bullying them on social networks.

Also in the Khmelnytsky region, law enforcement officers found a group of persons engaged in grooming. The defendants sold the illegal content in the messenger.

In total, police officers conducted almost half a hundred searches in 14 regions of Ukraine. More than 18 TB of illegal content has been removed. Expert research is currently underway.

47 defendants have been identified, 16 have already been declared a suspect.

57 criminal proceedings under Art. 149 (Trafficking in Persons), Art. 152 (Rape), Art. 155 (Committing acts of a sexual nature with a person under the age of sixteen), Art. 156 (Corruption of minors), Art. 301 (Import, manufacture, sale and distribution of pornographic items) Art. 301-1 (Obtaining access to child pornography, its acquisition, storage, production, sale and distribution) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigative actions continue.


Law enforcement officers have already filed pre-trial investigations on four facts of offenses and sent indictments to the court.
