Abusing his official position, the man demanded and received an illegal benefit from the entrepreneur for concluding a contract with an undervalued rental of the property.
The attacker was exposed by the operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department in Rivne region with law enforcement colleagues.
Yesterday, June 24, the defendant was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, after the latter received an illegal benefit. The official took the money from the power board in the premises of the enterprise.
He put some of them in his bag, the other - he tried to throw away near his own car. He also claimed that the bag did not belong to him. UAH 16,800 was withdrawn from the scene of the incident, of which 7,200 is an official fee under the terms of the contract, and the rest is an illegal benefit.Qualification: Part 3 of Art.
368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official).
The issue of notifying the detainee of suspicion is being resolved. Pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the regional police department under the procedural guidance of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The sanction of the article provides for a punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with the confiscation of property.
