On December 8, during a working visit to Donetsk region, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin and the leadership of the State Emergency Service visited the village of Lebedinske, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the demarcation line. As in most of the settlements that are located in the Joint Forces Operation Zone, residents of Lebedynsky need attention and assistance in rebuilding their homes damaged by enemy shelling.

We are talking about windows knocked out by shell fragments, pierced roofs, shelling fences, etc. Most people are not able to repair their homes on their own, because the inhabitants of the village are mostly elderly people. Therefore, since 2017, reconstruction works have been carried out in Donetsk region by the rescue forces of the State Emergency Service and the leadership of the military-civilian administrations of the region. In particular, 24 residential buildings have already been restored in Lebedinske this year. In total, during the restoration campaign 2021, which lasted from April 1 to June 9 and from September 1 to October 31, works were completed at 814 addresses in 22 settlements of Donetsk region.

Communicating with people who, despite the threat of war, decided not to leave their homes, the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Emergency Service heard how the residents themselves assess the work of rescuers and how important it is to get not only a repaired roof, but also basic attention and a sense of support. Therefore, during the meeting, the swans received guarantees that they will not be left alone with problems of any nature: from household to the provision of all necessary security services.
