The Cabinet of Ministers supported the resolution on mutual recognition of driver's licenses between Ukraine and Italy — Bohdan Drapyaty
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the Resolution “On Approval of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Italian Republic on Mutual Recognition and Exchange of Driver's Licenses”.
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
“The document is intended to regulate the entry into force of the said Agreement, which was signed on July 20 of this year between the Governments of Ukraine and the Italian Republic for the purpose of mutual recognition and exchange of driver's licenses of citizens of Ukraine and Italy moving to the State of the Other Party, according to a simplified procedure — without drafting a theory of practical and practical exams, which will have the consequence of preserving financial and time resources for citizens of Ukraine and Italy,” Bohdan Drapyaty said.
First of all, the Agreement is designed to ensure the rights of Ukrainian citizens residing in Italy.
Recall, on July 20, an Agreement was concluded between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Italian Republic on mutual recognition and exchange of driver's licenses.
The document provides for the simplification of the procedure for the exchange of national identity cards for citizens of both countries. In particular, it allows Ukrainians permanently or temporarily residing in Italy to exchange a Ukrainian driver's license for an Italian one without passing theoretical and practical exams and paying the corresponding monetary fees.
The Agreement applies to citizens of Ukraine who:
- legally residing in Italy;
- are residents of the country for less than four years;
- have a valid Ukrainian driver's license.
