Border protection is an honorable and extremely responsible matter. It needs courageous and self-confident people. 150 border guards turned out to be who
, by heart, decided to become dog handlers and combined their lives with the protection of state borders.
At the Kennel Training Center, future dog trainers conscientiously studied canine disciplines and trained their four-legged wards.
The training lasted half a year. During this time, they became true experts in their field and a single team.
Four-legged “cadets” learned to detain violators, as well as to look for weapons, drugs and cigarettes, which they skillfully demonstrated when passing their final exams.
The exams were passed successfully and 150 dog trainers and their four-legged companions go to protect the state borders.
Today, service dogs are indispensable helpers of border guards, without which not a single unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine can do.
In total, the state border of Ukraine is guarded by about one and a half thousand dogs, and every year the Kennel Center produces more than 500 dog trainers with four-legged companions.
