Igor Klymenko: Ukraine has received a report of suspicion for the second time “within the law”
This was announced today, April 1, by the Head of the National Police of Ukraine.
According to the head of the National Police, the “lawman” nicknamed “Kamo Moskovsky” incriminates the establishment or distribution of criminal influence and the supply of drugs to the Chernihiv point of temporary stay of foreigners.
Evidence for a substantiated report of suspicion was received by the operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations, the Tertiary Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Chernihiv region and investigators of the Investigative Department of the Regional Police.
In particular, it was established that the “lawman” came to Ukraine to establish and spread his own criminal influence among local criminality and in order to avoid criminal liability.
On January 5 of this year, a 58-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation was detained by Ukrainian law enforcement officers. Igor Klymenko reported that in accordance with the procedure established by law, foreigners and stateless persons were placed at the Chernihiv point of temporary stay of foreigners and stateless persons.
“There he tried to create his own criminal kingdom: he began to influence other detainees, to control the “commons”, to establish new ties with criminal representatives who are at large. In addition, he helped organize the supply of drugs to the detention facility,” the head of the National Police said.
It is also known that “Kamo Moskovsky” dictated compliance with “Vorovsky laws”, resolved conflicts between criminal “authorities” and incited others to commit crimes.
Yesterday, March 31, police officers with the strong support of the special purpose police company and with the assistance of the leadership of the Chernihiv PTPI conducted sanctioned searches in the institution where prohibited substances were seized.
Under the procedural guidance of the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Prosecutor General “Kami Moskovskiy” reported on suspicion of establishing or spreading criminal influence by a person who is in the status of a subject of increased criminal influence, including in the status of “sick in law” (part 3 of Art.. 255-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and illegal acquisition, storage of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues in places of imprisonment (Part 2 of Art. 307).
If proven guilty in court, a man may face up to 15 years in prison.
Igor Klymenko noted that thanks to the Law adopted by MPs in June 2020, responsibility for establishing and spreading criminal influence was introduced in the status of “the villain in the law” - and Ukraine ceased to be a haven for criminal elements.
Recall: this is the second “hole in the law”, which was reported on suspicion under the new article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The first was “Giga Ozurgetsky”, who was also charged with a criminal offense stipulated in Part 3 of Article 4 of this year. 255-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
