Igor Bondarenko: Digital crime monitoring tools will be used in the October 31 elections
On October 31, the extraordinary elections of the mayor of Kharkiv and the mid-term elections to the parliament will be held in two single-mandate constituencies in the Kherson and Cherkasy oblasts. Today, October 27, during a briefing, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine presented digital tools for monitoring law and order on order borach.
In particular, the Geoinformation analytical portal, the Mypol mobile application and the ChesnoControl chatbot.
The presentation was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police, the CEC and representatives of public organizations.
“The elections on October 31 will use digital crime monitoring tools. They allow citizens to report on the facts of violations of the electoral process and provide monitoring that will be of interest to media representatives and citizens. Since the projected participation in the elections is about one and a half million voters, this is a very significant and significant category of citizens who will be able to use these tools,” said Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Bondareno.
Geo-information analytical portal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine allows you to monitor the state of public security from any point 24/7, receive analytics on ensuring law and order at polling stations and in districts, and respond to offenses in time.
The portal makes it possible in real time to monitor administrative, criminal offenses, other events that violate the electoral process.
During the event, the NGO “Movement Chesno” presented a chatbot for monitoring offenses, the work of which will be tested during the mayoral elections on October 31 in Kharkiv and to the parliament in two single-mandate constituencies in Kherson and Cherkasy oblasts.
Chatbot ChesnoControl is developed on the Telegram platform. It systematizes and classifies typical violations that occur during elections. All reports of violations will go to the data center at the National Police, from where they will be forwarded to locations for prompt response.
You can also report offenses during elections and make a quick call to the police in case of an emergency situation using the mobile application “MyPol”. After pressing the red SOS button, the police will arrive immediately. In the section “Offenses” it is possible to leave an information message about violations at the polling station.
