Accident involving a bus with a truck in Chernihiv region: the court arrested the driver of the truck
Today, a court has arrested a truck driver for two months on suspicion of violating traffic rules that caused the death of several people.
Recall, on December 7 near Kyselivka, Chernihiv district, a regular bus and a truck collided. As a result of the accident, 13 people died and another 7 were injured.
On December 8, the police under the procedural guidance of the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor's Office informed the truck driver of the suspicion of committing a crime provided for in part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules, which caused the death of several people). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of 5 to 10 years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to 3 years.
Today Novozavodsky District Court of the city. Chernigov chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention for a period of two months.
