SNS: Since the beginning of the year, more than 70 forest fires have occurred in Ukraine
In Ukraine, the season of economic works continues, which is primarily accompanied by the fight against garbage and vegetation residues by incineration. Such activities, for which, among other things, administrative and criminal liability are provided, have led to an increase in the number of fires in natural ecosystems and in open areas.
Thus, since the beginning of 2021, more than 70 forest fires and almost 9 thousand fires have already occurred on the territory of Ukraine in open areas: grass, garbage, shrubs, etc.
In particular, in the last day alone, firefighters eliminated 115 fires in open areas, more than 75 hectares of territory were burned.
So, on April 29, in the Holosiivskyi district of the city. In Kiev there was a fire in the open territory of the capital. On an area of 200 sq. m, garbage burned on wood (branches).
At the same time, in the Zhytomyr region, rescuers eliminated four dry fires on a total area of 7 hectares of territory. So, grass burned near the villages of Lishchin, Teterivka, Singuri. And near the village of Kocherov, fire from burning dry grass, due to constant changes in the direction of the wind, threatened the residential sector and further spread to the side of the international highway Kyiv-Chop. However, thanks to the operational actions of Radomyshl rescuers, the fire was quickly extinguished and prevented from increasing the area.
In Khmelnytskyi Oblast on April 28, 4 fires occurred in open territory with a total area of more than 800 square meters. The fires were promptly eliminated.
On the same day, 26 dry grass fires were eliminated in Lviv region. So, in particular, on April 28, the Rescue Service “101” received a report about a fire in the village. Hlukhov (Belzhskaya MTG) Chervonograd district in open territory. Rescuers of the city were involved in the elimination of the fire. Chervonohrad, m. Sokal and the local fire brigade of the city. Belz. Firefighters extinguished a fire of dry grass, dry grass and shrubs on an area of 40,000 sq.m. Another burning occurred in the s. Bolekhivtsi (Drohobytska MTG) Drohobych district in open territory. Emergency workers extinguished a fire of dry grass and shrubs on an area of 20,000 sq.m.
The SNS reminds: it is strictly forbidden to burn garbage, make fires near forest plantations, dry vegetation and leave cigarette butts or matches on the grass bed.
It must be remembered that violation of fire safety rules carries a threat not only to the environment, but also, first of all, to your life and health!
