DPSU: Occupants carry out remote mining of the road corridor in the checkpoint “Mayorske”
The Russian occupation forces and their mercenaries, in addition to blocking the movement of people, have moved to significantly aggravate the security situation within the humanitarian road corridors.
Yesterday, around 5 am, a border outfit carrying out tasks within the humanitarian road corridor “Horlivka — Bakhmut” detected the flight of an enemy UAV. According to the algorithm of actions when detecting air targets, the interacting units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and border guards at the checkpoint “Mayorske” were informed, in the direction of which the aircraft was moving.
In the future, with the help of UAVs, the enemy carried out remote mining of the terrain. Including installing one POM-2 anti-personnel mine directly within the boundaries of the entry-exit checkpoint “Mayorske”.
The use of anti-personnel mines by the occupiers within the checkpoints endangers the lives of not only border guards, but also civilians. As you know, the actual passage of citizens across the demarcation line in the road corridor “Horlivka — Bakhmut” is not carried out due to the fault of the occupiers. At the same time, residents of frontline settlements are moving through the checkpoint, the security of which has been threatened by pro-Russian militants.
Thanks to the fixation of the UAV's border crossing span, the mine installation site was able to be detected and isolated in time. The safety of movement along the road corridor was restored — the mine was neutralized by the engineering and sapper units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Border guards are ready to ensure the passage of citizens through the demarcation line.
