The State Border Guard received two new French helicopters H-125 Airbus Helicopters
Today, two H-125 helicopters of French production of Airbus Helicopters arrived in Kyiv. They will be staffed by aviation units of the DPS, which will serve on the border with Belarus.
Since January 2020, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has already received two helicopters of type H-125. The new cars that arrived today are better equipped. They are equipped with satellite transmitters, loudspeakers, digital communication systems, specialized aviation spotlights, Flir high-resolution cameras, electric winches and emergency floating equipment.
“Today, border guards received another two H-125 helicopters that will help guard the state border. They are equipped with the most modern equipment. It allows you to monitor the borders of the state for many kilometers during the day and at night due to specialized cameras and a searchlight. Video from cameras can be immediately transmitted to a ground command post. This is a powerful reinforcement of the State Fiscal Service, and border security is currently one of the main priorities for the Ministry of Internal Affairs”, - said Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Sergey Goncharov.
The experience gained by the first two light helicopters in 2020 showed the economy and efficiency of their use for the purpose of protecting the state border (the total number of the first two vehicles is about 900 hours.)
The H-125 is one of the best cars in its class. In 2005, a helicopter of this modification broke a world record and landed on Mount Everest at a level of 8 thousand 850 meters above sea level. Recall that Airbus helicopters are supplied in accordance with the agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the French Republic to create a Unified Aviation Safety and Civil Protection
System in Ukraine. On August 29, 2018, a corresponding contract was signed between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and Airbus Helicopters. Under its terms, it is planned to deliver 24 helicopters of this type.
