The State Border Guard Service participates in the active phase of the multinational exercises “Cossack Bulava — 2021”
On July 19, as part of the Ukrainian-British exercises “Cossack Mace — 2021” (“Cossack Mace — 2021”), an active field phase began, during which the units operate according to the plan of the senior commander. Border guards work out the procedure of interaction as part of a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Great Britain under the leadership of a multinational headquarters.
The State Border Service of Ukraine at international exercises is represented by the fighters of the Rapid Response Border Command of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky Border Detachment of the Southern Regional Administration.
During the active phase, border guards improve their skills and abilities to act in the countersabotage reserve, identify and neutralize the conditional enemy, work out the procedure in border outfits and readiness to perform suddenly arising tasks to prevent DRG actions in the rear.
During the third phase of the “Defense Management” exercises, the border guards, together with the unit 54 of the brigade, worked out combat exercises of training shootings from regular weapons.
Ukrainian-British exercises “Cossack Bulava — 2021” will continue until July 24 on the basis of the Interspecies Training Center of military units and units in Mykolaiv region.
On July 23, one of the stages of the exercises “Cossack Bulava — 2021” will take place, in which Ukrainian-British units will conduct offensive actions and overcome the water obstacle, in addition to conducting raids.
Recall that the international Ukrainian-British military exercises “Cossack Bulava — 2021” began on July 12 under the general leadership of the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky. About 2000 military personnel and more than 300 units of military equipment from five partner countries take part in the exercises.
The main objective of the exercises is to demonstrate interoperability according to NATO standards by strengthening relations between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the British Armed Forces, joint planning and joint execution of operations.
