Denis Monastyrsky handed over the 7-millionth passport of a citizen of Ukraine
The lucky owner of the document was Zhasmina Kiselevych — a pupil of the Center for the Protection of Children “Our Children”. The girl received a document with the number 007000000.
During the ceremony of handing over the ID card, Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky said that the modern passport is a new document - a plastic card that is recognized in most countries of the world. With it online you can change your place of residence. It contains a verified digital signature for doing business and provides many opportunities for the realization of one's right as a citizen of Ukraine.
“Today, our team and I are here to celebrate an important moment - the delivery of the 7 millionth passport of a citizen of Ukraine, an ID-card. The passport of a citizen of Ukraine passed various tests, like our state. Ukraine was the first to recognize the digital passport, it is verified in the Diia application and has many possibilities that are not available in other states,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
The head of the law enforcement agency noted that the direction of Service Centers and provision of services to citizens is developing. Already today you can go to Georgia and Turkey with this document: “We are working to expand the list of countries to which you can go for an ID card. We have many prospects ahead. The Ukrainian ID card becomes a valuable part of the life of every Ukrainian.”
The head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine Natalia Naumenko stressed that thanks to the ID card, citizens have access to all electronic services. It is safe, modern and reliable.
She also told how the process of obtaining an ID-card goes - first of all, a citizen must check the correctness of entering data into his document, then there is the verification process, entering a pin code, as one of the security elements of the document, the last step is the signature of the owner.
In memory of this event, passport holders were presented with a new phone.
