Denis Monastyrsky flew to Volyn to check readiness of Ukrainian border protection from artificially created migration crisis

Today, November 11, the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky together with the head of the State Border Service Sergey Deyneka, the head of the National Police Igor Klymenko and the deputy head of the National Guard of Ukraine Yuriy Lebedem flew to the Volyn region to work out actions to protect against a possible test attempt tearing down the Ukrainian border, artificially organized mobs of migrants, as well as to counter other hybrid threats.

As part of a working trip to the Volyn region, at the site of the border unit “Grabove” of the Lutsk border detachment, exercises will be conducted for combat coordination between all subordinate structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: the State Border Service, the National Police, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service situations and the Migration Service.

“In order to counter the potential crisis with migrants, we will involve all five structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs without exception, as a single fist of Ukraine's internal security,” said Denis Monastyrsky.

During the visit to Volyn, there will also be a meeting with the heads of the United Territorial Communities, which are located along the border, together with the leadership of the region and law enforcement agencies for cooperation in the event of a threat to the Ukrainian border.
