Denis Monastyrsky held another telephone conversation with his Polish visa, Mariusz Kaminski
The interlocutors exchanged information on the current situation on the interborder with the Republic of Belarus, vision of further development of events and relevant response plans.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine spoke about the details of the special border operation “Polissya”. It was deployed to prevent illegal activities by foreigners on the Ukrainian border with the Republic of Belarus, as well as to allocate UAH 175 million by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to strengthen the protection of the Ukrainian border.
In turn, the head of the Polish law enforcement agency reported a temporary de-escalation of tensions, as well as obvious signs of a change in the tactics of people trying to break through the Belarusian-Polish border, storming it in different places in small groups.
At the same time, Mariusz Kaminsky stated that according to the assessments of the Polish side, there is a rather high probability of hybrid attacks against Ukraine, and also assured that Poland is ready to stand resolutely on the side of supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state.
“We are aware of possible scenarios for further development of events that can be implemented against Ukraine in order to undermine the stability of our state, disperse its attention and strength, and in some way worsen its relations with Poland and the EU,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
The head of the law enforcement agency of Ukraine once again stressed solidarity with Poland and expressed respect to colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland for resolute intransigence in matters of security of the state and its citizens.
