“Day of silence” in Ukraine passed without serious offenses - Oleksandr Fatsevich

In total, the police received 16 reports of events related to the election process. Half of them involved actions related to possible falsification, forgery, theft or damage to electoral documentation. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine during the departmental video selection meeting today, October 31.

According to Oleksandr Fatsevich, today, in accordance with the resolutions of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine, elections will be held in two regions and the city. Kharkov. In particular, mid-term elections of people's deputies of Ukraine in single-mandate constituencies No. 184 and 197 will be held in Kherson and Cherkasy regions, and residents of Kharkiv will elect a mayor.

In addition, in accordance with the resolutions of the CEC, in the territory of 21 regions of the state, there will be intermediate and repeated elections of deputies of local councils, extraordinary elections of village and settlement city heads.

The “Day of Silence” passed without significant violations. According to the information of the Situation Center and the information you provided to us, the police received 16 reports of possible offenses and events,” Oleksandr Fatsevich said.

Thus, 9 such reports were received by the Kharkiv police. Three reports were registered in Lviv and Kherson regions, one more - with the police of Donetsk region. Eight of the reports concerned actions regarding possible falsification, forgery, theft or damage to election documentation. Three other reports related to illegal campaigning.

Recall that since the beginning of the election campaign, 200 statements and reports of violations of electoral legislation have been received by the National Police.
