Chernivtsi cyber police expose woman who searched at least 100 social network users
A resident of the Chernivtsi region posted an ad on one of the social networks about the sale of clothes. The main condition for its acquisition was a full prepayment. Having received money from the buyers, the woman stopped communicating with them and, of course, did not send the paid goods. For such actions, she faces up to three years in prison.
The fraudulent scheme of the 33-year-old bukovinka was documented by employees of the department of combating cybercrime in the Chernivtsi region of the DKP of the National Police together with the employees of the police department № 3 (m. Zastavna) of the Chernivtsi Regional Police Department under the procedural direction of the Chernivtsi District Prosecutor's Office.
The police searched the home of the intruder and seized a laptop, memory card, mobile phone, bank cards of various financial institutions, SIM cards and draft records.
On this fact, police investigators conduct a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings initiated on the basis of Part 2 of Article 190 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
At the moment, it is known that about 100 citizens were searched by Bukovinka due to fictitious advertisements for the sale of goods. Law enforcement officers establish the amount of damage caused, as well as other persons who may have suffered from the fraudulent actions of the woman.
