A film aimed at reducing drug and alcohol dependence among children was presented in one of the schools of Chernivtsi. Famous musicians took part in the films, who managed to overcome false addiction. The filmed tape was presented by the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anna Mishchenko.

“I am sure that you can overcome the sad statistics of alcohol and drug addiction among children only if you talk to children. Speak not in terms and laws, but in their language. Children should understand that we adults come not to punish, but to help. That is why, during the filming, we asked famous artists who managed to overcome addiction to tell their story and explain, based on their own experience, why addiction is bad,” said Anna Mishchenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs and author of the film.

The author is sure that the methods of struggle that worked 10 years ago no longer work. Now you need to come to the children and talk to them in their language. Support them, not punish them.

In addition to famous artists, the film also starred teenagers who told about their experiences and their vision of addiction to drugs and alcohol. Also in the tape, children express their opinions on the causes of addiction and what adults should do to help them in this difficult struggle.

During the event, Anna Mishchenko talked with children about addiction and expressed her desire to help everyone who needs it.

At the end of the meeting, one of the students of the Chernivtsi school appealed for help to the adviser of the minister.

“It is very valuable for me that after the event the child approached me and asked for help. This suggests that my approach to the problem is working. It is for the sake of these children that I will continue my work aimed at combating drug and alcohol addiction,” said Anna Mishchenko.
