More than a hundred explosive objects were seized and destroyed by fire trucks of the State Emergency Service in the first days of 2022

Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine carry out daily work to survey the territory of the country, identify, seize and destroy explosive objects from past wars. Thus, only during the last day, January 3, 3 sorties were made, during which 54 munitions were found.

In Zaorema, these days in Vinnytsia region, fire engines of the State Emergency Service destroyed an SD-50 air bomb of the Second World War. It was discovered in a forest outside the s. Pliskiv Pogrebyshche territorial community of Vinnytsia district.

Earlier in the Khmelnytsky region, the State Emergency Service received a message that during the construction of earthworks in the village. One 82 mm mortar mine from the Second World War was discovered in Pavlykivtsi.

In addition, work is underway on the demining of liberated territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Thus, on January 3, units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the territory of Donetsk region, where the PLO is conducted, surveyed 1.34 hectares of territory and identified and removed 54 VNPs.

In total, since the beginning of 2022, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service have seized and destroyed 138 explosive objects.

Therefore, in order to prevent accidents among the population in case of detection of explosive objects, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine once again appeals to citizens with a request to observe the rules of safe handling of explosive or unknown objects!

It is strictly prohibited:

touch a suspicious object or move it;

fill it with liquids, cover it with soil or cover it with something;

to exert sound, light, thermal or mechanical effects on a suspicious object, because almost all explosives are sensitive to mechanical, sound effects and heating;

try to neutralize the find yourself.

Remember that in case of detection of explosive objects, it is necessary to immediately report this at the number “101” or “102” and in no case try to independently identify the found ammunition.
