More than 100 families of border guards received compensation for housing
On the eve of the New Year, monetary compensation was received on the personal accounts of border guards. In total, 142 million hryvnias were allocated for this purpose. Priority was given to the regions in the distribution
of funds. These are families of soldiers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Odessa, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Sumy, Izmail, Cherkassy, Mariupol, Boryspil, Podilsk, Lisichansk, Kherson, Chernihiv and Kiev. Among the border guards who received such an opportunity — 7 war invalids.
“106 families of border guards on New Year's Eve got a real opportunity to buy their own housing. And I am sincerely glad that already in 2022 they will be able to fully realize their dreams of a home,” said the Head of the State Border Service Sergey Deineko.
The head of the border agency stressed that in order to ensure social protection of border guards and their well-being, the State Border Guard Service, with the support of the state leadership, will continue to do everything possible. “This is our duty! Border guards should have decent living conditions, because they protect the state border daily, defend Ukraine,” he added.
It is worth noting that this is the third year in a row when families of border guards receive funds to purchase housing. More than 450 million hryvnias were allocated to this, which was received by 455 families of soldiers of the DPSU.
In addition, providing duty personnel with permanent housing frees up service apartments, which are further distributed among the staff. In previous years, more than 120 border guards received official housing for resettlement. Also, dozens of service apartments for the housing stock will be released at the beginning of next year.
In total, in 2022, 200 million hryvnias were invested for capital construction, acquisition and reconstruction of housing.
