Arsen Avakov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan
Today, April 16, Minister Arsen Avakov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ukraine, Mr. Noel Israel Hohar.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko.
The parties agreed to intensify cooperation in the development of the contractual and legal framework of relations, the resolution of topical issues in the migration, visa and security spheres. “Ukraine is interested in deepening dialogue and partnership with Pakistan,” Arsen Avakov noted.
The parties agreed to revive Ukrainian-Pakistani political dialogue at a high level.
Arsen Avakov proposed to speed up the work of the parties on the draft bilateral contractual and legal documents of an intergovernmental nature, including on the line of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine - the Agreement on the readmission of persons, which was submitted for consideration by the Pakistani side in August 2019.
