Arsen Avakov: “The Ministry of Internal Affairs deploys aviation maintenance infrastructure”
This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov today, on May 11, during the All-Ukrainian Forum “Ukraine 30”.
“In the city of Nizhyn, Chernihiv region, the infrastructure of maintenance of aviation equipment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is being deployed. There will be served by helicopters of the State Emergency Service, border guards, the National Guard and the police. In the future, this site will become a helicopter maintenance center also for our European partners,” he said.
At the end of 2020, the Kaniv helicopter site in Cherkasy region was transferred to the balance sheet of the National Police. On its basis, the Center for Aviation Support of the National Police was created.
Arsen Avakov stressed that the plans for this year are to receive another 28 helicopters for the needs of all services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system. Currently, the National Police received the first 2 modern H145 Airbus Hellicopters, 2 H125 helicopters were received by the State Border Guard Service, 8 cars have already been commissioned in the State Emergency Service and the National Guard.
Interior Minister Arsen Avakov noted that this year, together with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Internal Affairs introduced a system of aeromedical evacuation and support of transplantology with the involvement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs aviation.
“Ukrainians will have access to special medical care as soon as possible in situations that threaten their life and health. This is critically important in hard-to-reach and remote areas of the country,” he said.
Arsen Avakov stressed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is currently implementing and also plans to start several large-scale projects this year.
“Within the framework of the Intergovernmental Agreement with the French Republic, active cooperation continues to strengthen maritime security and border protection of Ukraine. Thanks to this project, Ukrainian border guards will receive modern boats, and Ukrainian industry will receive technologies for their further production,” he said.
The Minister of Internal Affairs stressed that the localization of 25 percent of production will be carried out at the shipbuilding plant “Nibulon” in Nikolaev. Thus, Ukrainian shipwrights will gain experience of international cooperation and access to modern world technologies for the production of high-speed vessels.
Today, within the framework of the All-Ukrainian form “Ukraine 30”, the Ministry of Internal Affairs demonstrated modern technology that is used by all departments of the ministry system.
Recall that since April 1, the helicopter of the State Emergency Service has been on permanent duty in Lviv region to provide emergency assistance to the population of six western regions. Only in the first month of work it was possible to save seven citizens who needed urgent medical care.
