Large-scale joint training of guards, police and rescuers took place in Kharkiv region.

Joint tactical and special training of territorial units of central executive bodies coordinated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine took place in the training center of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine. They were attended by about 500 representatives of units of the National Guard of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The training in Kharkiv region was conducted under the guidance of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Colonel-General Mykola Balan and the head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Mykola Chechotkin.

“The training scenario is based on real events. We have shown that all units are able to work together in difficult conditions. Our readiness must be complete, both during emergencies and hybrid warfare and the emergence of a military component. We will respond to the aggressor and the threats we have, with our readiness,” stressed the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov.

In addition, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted that the National Guard of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have become much stronger, more powerful, and technically equipped compared to previous years:

“We are saying now that in parallel with technical improvement, it is very important to create an interaction of forces. Due to this, we will keep a confident position. We are now at a distance of 25 km from the border of Russia, and we on our land are ready for anything. The border service has a high level of training, and in case of exacerbation, the National Guard of Ukraine and all other military formations will immediately come to the rescue. This shows that the Ukrainian people believe in our army and defense.”

During the exercises, soldiers of the NGU and representatives of the police worked out the detention of criminals who tried to carry weapons and explosives through the checkpoint.

In addition, according to the legend of the exercises, the sabotage and reconnaissance group carries out an attack on the checkpoint. The commander of the block-post organizes a circular defense with the concentration of the main effort from the side of the attack of the saboteurs, and also calls for reinforcements. Namely, a rapid response group from a separate detachment of special purpose “AZOV”. Having felt the powerful pressure of the weapons, the enemy had no chance of successfully completing the sabotage task.

Suppressed by the forces of the National Guards, the saboteurs made a retreat, during which they tried to create maximum inconvenience to the Ukrainian defenders. They carried out an arson, resulting in a forest fire that spread to an area of about 5 hectares.

By the joint efforts of firefighters with the involvement of the CIS aviation, the emergency event was liquidated.

During the exercises, the rescuers also worked out a possible scenario for the elimination of an accident with the leakage of a chemical hazardous substance with the involvement of an armored reconnaissance and detection machine, pyrotechnic calculations, a special radiation and chemical reconnaissance machine and special emergency rescue vehicles.

Having carried out sabotage on the ammonia pipeline, the enemy tried to escape from the pursuit of the rapid response group of the special unit “AZOV”, but was destroyed.

“The main goal of the exercises is interaction and coordination, unity of units in emergency situations. A large number of units are involved in the exercises and a fundamentally important task for us is the understanding of each commander, who should coordinate with other units,” said First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Serhiy Yarovyi.

In addition, during the exercises, special equipment of the territorial units of the NGU, NPU and the State Emergency Service, modern weapons used in the National Guard, were demonstrated. Much attention was paid to the elaboration of actions on the repair of automotive, armored vehicles and weapons, the organization of an economic support point for cooking and feeding personnel in the field.

“The fighters of the National Guard of Ukraine are motivated, able to work both in groups as part of units and in general in cooperation with central and executive authorities,” said the commander of the NGU in the exercises, Colonel General Mykola Balan.
