Announcement: The EU transfers equipment to the National Police of Ukraine for more than 3.4 million euros

On Friday, September 10, within the framework of the “Law and Police” program funded by the European Union, the National Police of Ukraine will receive 18 patrol cars, 40 vehicles for public security and order units, nine defibrillators, modern servers and data storage systems, as well as costume explosives and related equipment. Thanks to equipment totaling 3.4 million euros, the National Police will be able to more effectively conduct professional activities and fulfill their duties to create a safe environment in cities, communities and streets of Ukraine.

The purchase of the equipment was carried out within the framework of the “Support to Reforms for the Development of the Rule of Law in Ukraine in the Areas of Police, Prosecution and Good Governance” (PRAVO-Police), implemented with EU financial support by the United Nations Office for the Service of the Programme (UNOPS) in close cooperation with the EU Advisory Mission in Ukraine (CMC) EC).

For reference, the project is being implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in close cooperation with the EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine (ECHR). The overall aim of the programme is to promote the rule of law in Ukraine and align it with the best practices of the European Union and the world. The program is funded by the European Union and has a budget of 36 million euros.
