Andrey Niebitov: the police of the Kiev region reported the suspicion of the man who committed the murder and arson of the house in the village of Belogorodka
It was reported that on June 21 in Kyiv region there was an explosion in a residential building of Buchansky district, as a result of which more than 10 people were injured. At the scene, the body of a man was found, who died not from the effects of the fire, but due to serious bodily injuries.
The expert found that the man died before the fire due to numerous injuries.
Law enforcement officers found out that a 43-year-old man who lived near the killed person was involved in the murder. The attacker admitted that he committed the crime because of a quarrel over the garage, which he rented to the deceased.
“The man developed a plan to avoid responsibility and hide the traces of the crime: with the help of an incendiary mixture and gunpowder, the attacker caused an explosion and arson,” the Kiev police chief said.
“He committed murder in a state of affect. He decided to hide the traces of the crime by setting fire to the apartment and the body itself with gasoline. I repent of the crime,” the suspect confessed.
Law enforcement officers informed the intruder of suspicion under Clause 4 Part 2 of Article 115 (Intentional Murder) and Part 2 of Article 194 (Intentional Destruction or Damage to Property) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for the maximum penalty - life imprisonment.
