Andriy Kryshchenko: “Kyiv police returned a 5-year-old boy home, whose search lasted all night”
Today, June 28, law enforcement officers found and returned home a young Kiev resident who disappeared last night from the yard of the house on a scooter. In the morning, law enforcement officers found the child in a field in the Holosiivskyi district.
Information about the disappearance of the minor was received to the police on June 27 at about 18.00 hours from the mother of the child. The woman said that her son was riding a scooter in the yard of the house and disappeared. Police immediately began a search for the child.
According to the chief of police of Kiev Andriy Kryshchenko, juvenile police officers, district police officers, special officers, National Guard troops, patrol police crews and dog handlers with service dogs were involved in the search for the boy:
“Orientation with signs of the missing boy was provided to all police patrols. In addition, volunteers who responded on social networks joined the search. Law enforcement officers interviewed neighbors, combed the area, checked parks, playgrounds and all places where the boy could be. The search for the minor continued until the morning. Around 8.00 hours during the search activities, special officers of the special purpose police regiment No. 2 found the child in the field in the Holosiivskyi district.”
During the search, nothing bad happened to the boy. The child was examined by doctors and returned to his parents.
Law enforcers call on all citizens to be conscientious in their duties to raise children and properly supervise them. Do not ignore children even for a short time, especially while relaxing near water bodies, in the forest or in parks. The safety of children is the sole responsibility of parents and persons replacing them.
