Threat against the Netherlands from the “Azov fighters” is a provocation – statement of the Azov regiment (PHOTOS, VIDEO)
It was announced today, on January 19, during the meeting of Arsen Avakov, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and Andrew Biletsky, Ukrainian MP and the former first commander of the NGU regiment “Azov”, with Kees Klompenhouwer, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian side rejected connection of the soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU) regiment “Azov” to the video address with threats against citizens of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which was distributed in Ukrainian and Russian internet.
Ukrainian MP Andrew Biletsky said that this video address allegedly on behalf of the “Azov” fighters is a fake “staging” of quite bad quality. Armament and uniforms of the “Azov fighters” in this video do not correspond to the officially approved standard type which demonstrates that it is a fake imitation.
“Of course, such use of the Azov brand name for the sake of Russian propaganda in Europe is very insulting to the real “Azov” fighters” – stressed Andrew Biletsky.
“Azov” soldiers also rejected their connection to the fake video by distributing in internet their video counter-address.
According to MIA, this fake video address allegedly on behalf of the “Azov” fighters is a clear provocation aimed to foment anti-Ukrainian feelings in Europe.

In April 2016 in the Netherlands will take place a nationwide referendum on approval of the Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement. Thus, informational provocations like the fake “Azov fighters video address” are essential component of the intensive Russian hybrid war against Ukraine. In this case main aim of such provocation is to form in the Netherlands a false image of the Ukraine and its fighters-volunteers.
