Arsen Avakov met with State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan (PHOTO)
The meeting was held in terms of the official visit of Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Japan. Arsen Avakov and State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Nobuo Kishi discussed the process of reforming the judicial system of Ukraine.
The second day of the visit of Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to Japan began with the important meeting with Mr. Nobuo Kishi. State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan expressed his high praise of police reform in Ukraine, announced the intention to keep on supporting its introduction.
In turn, Arsen Avakov said that the support of Japanese Government would help to improve the system of interaction between law enforcers and citizens, as well as the improvement of IT-system will help to ensure a high level of services to Ukrainians.
In the end, they discussed the difficult situation in the East of Ukraine and in the Kuril Islands. Ukrainian Minister expressed readiness to support Japan. Arsen Avakov said that Ukraine and Japan should unite in the fight for the integrity of the borders of two countries.
