UAH 350 thousand “kickback” for settlements under the contract - in Zhytomyr region the police detained the director of a municipal enterprise
Yesterday, June 25, operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Zhytomyr region, together with law enforcement colleagues, exposed the official while receiving improper benefits.
It was established that for the conclusion of the contract for the supply of goods, as well as the prompt and unhindered carrying out of the relevant calculations, the entrepreneur had to provide 350 thousand UAH “kickback” to the head of the municipal enterprise.
Yesterday, June 25, the police documented the fact of receiving the second part of the illegal benefit in the amount of 175 thousand UAH. Earlier, in March of this year, it was documented the receipt of a similar amount - the first tranche.
The issue of detention of the director of a utility company in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and notification to him of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 368 (solicitation and receipt by an official of improper benefits) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is resolved.
Pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by investigators of the State Administrative Service of Ukraine in Zhytomyr region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
