16-year-old driver who committed a high-profile accident in Lutsk was declared a suspect
For a traffic violation that caused grievous bodily harm, he faces imprisonment of three to eight years.
Recall that the car accident happened on December 12, around 14 o'clock, on Sobornosti Avenue, in Lutsk.
Fleeing from the patrol crew and failing to comply with the police officer's legal requirements to stop, the driver of the Renault Megane ran a red light and drove into people crossing the road at a regulated pedestrian crossing. After that, he collided with a tree and a road sign at the intersection with Chornovola Street.
As a result of the accident, six people received bodily injuries, one of which is a 5-year-old boy; 39-year-old Luchanka is still in intensive care.
On this fact, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Currently, the 16-year-old driver of the car is in temporary detention.
Subsequently, a precautionary measure will be chosen for him.
