1500 dollars for recognition as unfit for military service — the deputy commissioner of the district military registration commission was detained in Ternopil region
The soldier demanded an illegal benefit from a local resident. For this amount, he promised to help with evading military service and recognizing his husband as unfit for her.
Operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in Ternopil region, together with law enforcement colleagues, exposed the soldier.
On June 5, the defendant was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine upon receipt of the agreed amount of “remuneration”. The money was taken away.
He has already been informed of the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway, carried out by the investigators of the SBI Terra Department, located in the city of Lviv.
For accepting an offer, a promise or receiving an illegal benefit, a serviceman may face punishment - up to ten years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years, with confiscation of property.
Procedural guidance in criminal proceedings is carried out by the Ternopil Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the military and defense sphere.
