UAH 100,000 of illegal benefits for renting land - police detained the deputy chairman of one of the AHs in Ternopil region
The official claimed an unfair advantage for winning the land auction. For the specified amount, he promised to help the citizen to lease 0.20 hectares of commercial land for a period of 49 years.
Operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department in Ternopil Oblast with law enforcement colleagues exposed the attacker. Yesterday, May 12, they detained the deputy chairman of the united territorial community in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The latter just received the second part of the agreed amount. Previously, the police documented their receipt of 5000 hryvnias, which were to be spent on organizing the mentioned auction.
The total amount of ill-gotten benefits is UAH 100 thousand.
Currently, the investigation is ongoing — it is carried out by the investigators of the regional police department under the procedural guidance of the Chortkiv District Prosecutor's Office. The issue of notifying the detainee of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the choice of a precautionary measure.
For the solicitation and receipt of unlawful benefits by an official, liability is provided in the form of imprisonment for a period of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years, with confiscation of property.
