USD 1,600 for evading military service — deputy commissioner of the district military registration commission was detained in Ternopil region
The soldier demanded an illegal benefit from the conscript. For money, he promised to help get documents recognizing the latter as unfit for military service.
The deputy commissioner of one of the district military registration commissars was exposed by the operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Ternopil region with law enforcement colleagues.
On the evening of July 14, the attacker was detained “hot” after receiving $1,600 in illegal benefits. The defendant is detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The subject of ill-gotten gains is seized on the spot. The serviceman has already been informed of the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (solicitation and receipt by an official of illegal benefits). The question of choosing a precautionary measure is being resolved.
