On Friday, June 19, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kateryna Pavlichenko, a scientific-practical conference on “Actual problems of pre-trial investigation and trial of crimes against sexual freedom and sexual inviolability of children, ways to solve them” will be held.
The purpose of the conference is professional discussion of problems of legislative and regulatory support, development of effective recommendations on improving the norms of legislation of Ukraine on the protection of children from sexual violence, organization of pre-trial investigation and trial of cases related to the commission of crimes against sexual freedom and sexual inviolability of children, as well as improving the methods of training and improving the skills of law enforcement personnel, whose competence is the protection of children's rights.
Participants: Ukrainian-Canadian Judicial Reform Support Project (SJRP), ECSC in Ukraine, Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Children's Rights, representatives of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights, relevant committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, competent experts and scientists specialized ministries, the Office of the Prosecutor General's Office, leading domestic and foreign experts, well-known scientists, representatives of other state institutions and public organizations.
