Cruel murder of a soldier — Kiev police detained a suspect
A report of the man's disappearance was received by the Kiev police on the eve of the incident. It is known that the soldier in his own car was supposed to go to the hospital, but on the way communication with him was lost. Employees of the Criminal Police Department of the Darnitsky Department and operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department were immediately involved in the search for the man.
Law enforcement officers found the body of the missing man in one of the reservoirs on the outskirts of the city, and his car in one of the sleeping areas of Kiev:
After conducting priority operational and investigative actions with the involvement of analysts of the capital's head, employees of the criminal police of the territorial unit, details of the incident were established.
On the way to the hospital, the man stopped by his comrade for documents. During the meeting, a quarrel arose between them on the basis of debt obligations. The attacker took out a knife and struck the victim in the neck, chest and head. When he was convinced that the soldier was dead, he decided to dispose of the body and hide the traces. So he then put the body of the deceased in a sleeping bag, wrapped it in plastic wrap and took it out of town on his same car and threw it into a pond.
The forensic expert found about 15 knife wounds on the body of the deceased.
Law enforcement officers conducted a detailed inspection of the crime scene, worked out the victim's movement step by step and established the identity of the attacker. He turned out to be a 31-year-old resident of Vinnytsia region, who is also accused of committing a robbery attack on two women in Vinnytsia region.
The attacker was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Investigators under the procedural leadership of the Darnytsky District Prosecutor's Office informed the defendant about the suspicion of committing the crime provided for by the first part of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - premeditated murder.
The suspect may face up to fifteen years in prison. The pre-trial investigation continues.
