Gold jewelry inlaid with precious stones was discovered by border guards on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border
Today, on the border with Hungary, the border guards of the Mukachevo detachment together with customs officers stopped the attempt to illegally move gold jewelry.
Ukrainian spouses who were heading to Budapest tried to hide the gold jewelry.
Ukrainians arrived at the checkpoint “Vlok” by car of the Volkswagen brand. Given the couple's nervous behavior and the fact that the vehicle fell under departmental risk profiles, border guards decided to examine it in depth.
During a joint border inspection, about 100 plastic bags with gold jewelry were found in the pockets and on the body of the husband and his wife. All decorations were with price tags.
At present, the gold products are removed in the established order, their weight and the amount of the assessment are established.
