Destroyed the mine system and machine gun of the occupiers, detained 29 violators: the situation on the border
Border units are an integral part of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. In the eastern direction, the border guards discovered the remote minesweeping system of the Russian occupiers “PKM-1" and a large-caliber machine gun.
As a result of successful actions, DPSU fighters destroyed the enemy system and a large-caliber machine gun.
Meanwhile, border guards of the Chopsky and Mukachevo border detachments together with law enforcement officers detained the organizer of an illegal scheme to transfer people abroad.
The attacker was exposed at the end of October last year after he received a bribe of thousands of dollars while transporting two men of conscription age from Ukraine to Hungary.
Now he has been charged with committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 3 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code “Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine”. The materials of the criminal proceedings are directed to the court. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with confiscation of property.
And on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, border guards of the Chopsky detachment found a vehicle that was under international search. A 24-year-old citizen of Nigeria was headed by a BMW passenger car to enter Ukraine. During the inspection of the car, the operation of the Interpol database was recorded.
As it turned out, the 2012 vehicle was stolen almost two years ago. The discovered car and the documents on it were handed over by the border guards to the National Police. In the actions of a foreigner, signs of a criminal offense provided for by Article 289 of the Criminal Code “Illegal possession of a vehicle” are seen.
In total, 86 thousand people and 16 thousand vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova (in the Chernivtsi region) during the day.
45 thousand people left Ukraine. 29 thousand of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest followed to other EU countries and Moldova.
41 thousand people followed to Ukraine, 37 thousand of them - citizens of Ukraine.
29 people were detained for attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine.
