Changes to the border regime!
From now on, in order to stay in the border zone, it is necessary to have the permission of the State Border Service of Ukraine. The Government, by Resolution No. 1292 of December 7, amended the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of July 27, 1998. No. 1147 “On the border regime”.
Changes include:
- citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and stateless persons have the right to enter, stay, reside or move within the controlled border area on the basis of documents certifying their identity
- restrictions on free entry, stay, residence, work and movement of persons in the border zone — a section of land 5 km wide from the state border line
- obtaining permission by persons planning to enter, stay and carry out work within the border zone, from the relevant state traffic police body, which directly performs tasks in the specified area of responsibility. This applies to both individuals and legal entities. Permission to individuals under the age of 18 is granted at the request of one of the parents (adoptive parents), guardians, guardians or other legal representative.
In addition, a special border regime has been established and free entry, stay, residence, movement of persons and work not related to defense or state border protection are prohibited within land plots 30-50 meters wide along the state border line on land, along the coast of the Ukrainian border lakes, lakes or other bodies of water. Along the line of the state border of Ukraine with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus - a width of up to 2 km, which are provided for permanent use to the military units of the State Border Service for the construction, arrangement and maintenance of engineering and technical and fortification structures, fences, border signs, border crossings communication, communication.
