Malefactors fake the resources of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine
Employees of the Department of Cyberpolice together with specialists of the Department of Informatization of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine discovered the facts of creation and distribution of phishing resources, which are outwardly similar to the official website for the provision of service services. Fake resources were “promoted” by attackers through advertising on social networks.
Under the guise of checking the driver's license, fraudsters were illegally collecting data on the series and number of the license. Allegedly, in the future, the attackers planned to produce fake driver documents with original serial numbers so that they could be checked in databases.
Along with this, other tabs and pages on phishing sites were inactive.
A database of about a thousand driver's licenses has been removed from illegal circulation. The operation of 5 phishing web resources is currently blocked. To avoid becoming a victim of phishing, do
not follow dubious hyperlinks or enter confidential data on suspicious resources. Check the URL carefully, because any inaccuracies may mean that you have come to a phishing site.
