Protecting the rights of the child in the conditions of war: frankly about the actual
Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs held an online marathon devoted to topical issues of ensuring and protecting children's rights under the legal regime of martial law, deepening the awareness of applicants and applicants for higher education about the peculiarities of the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine in the direction of creating a safe children's environment bushes.
Among the participants are representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service, Donetsk, Lviv and Odessa State Universities of Internal Affairs.
At the beginning of the event, Vice-Rector Olena Volobueva stressed that today all departments of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are developing a nationwide Concept of Safe Environment, one of the goals of which is to ensure the safety of children, in particular, a significant tool to strengthen the safety of children during the war is the project “Specialist on Security in the Educational Environment”, which It is expanding its geography and capabilities.
The speaker of the online marathon was the Head of the Department for the Protection of Children's Rights of the Department of Human Rights of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yuriy Kitsul, who outlined the topical issues of ensuring and protecting the rights of children in the conditions of war, spoke about the work on the introduction of effective measures to create a safe educational environment, which were changed taking into account the challenge due to full-scale military actions in Ukraine.
Also, the head of the preventive work department of the fire safety department of the Department of Emergency Prevention of the State Emergency Situations Service Anatoliy Shkarbuta, professor of the Department of Administrative Activities of the Police Department of the Faculty of Training of Specialists for Preventive Activity Units participated in the discussion of topical issues of protection of children's rights ODUVS Olena Kovaleva, Professor of the Department of Administrative Law and Administrative Process of Faculty №3 Lviv University Tatyana Kravtsova and Head of the Department of Administrative and Legal Disciplines Faculty №2 DonDUVS Olga Merdova
The event is important for departmental education, as it aims to raise the level of awareness of applicants and applicants for higher education on issues related to the protection of the rights and freedoms of the child. Cadets and cadets, especially graduating courses, will soon begin to perform official duties in territorial bodies and units of the National Police of Ukraine, including for the implementation of police activities to ensure and protect the rights of children.
During the online marathon, the issues that will be introduced into the educational process of universities to strengthen the practical component of the educational process and its compliance with the current challenges of police activity will be discussed.
