“West-2023”: border guards detained 5 evaders and a carrier
As part of the joint special border operation “West-2023”, the border guards of the Chernivtsi detachment detained a group of border violators along with the carrier.
During the implementation of operational information, the border outfit of the Krasnoilsk border service department with the force support of the special unit “DOZOR” found 5 unknown persons among the forest mass. A group of men headed to the Ukrainian-Romanian border by mountain trails.
The detainees turned out to be men of conscription age, with documents that confessed to the intention to illegally cross the border. Two of them are residents of Ivano-Frankivsk region, the rest from Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky and Chernivtsi regions.
Also during the search, a resident of the Storozhinets community of the Chernivtsi region was detained, who transported border violators to the state border on his own car.
Detained offenders are taken to the border department and brought to justice under Art. 204-1 KUPAP “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”.
In relation to the carrier, a notice was sent to the National Police on the detection of signs of a criminal offense provided for in art. 332 KKU.
