A large exchange of prisoners ended: defenders of “Azovstal”, military, police, border guards on the loose.
By order of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky and the Head of the Main Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov participated in the exchange process. The exchange took place in Turkey.
215 warrior heroes are free. These are military, police, National Guard, border guards, TRO fighters, customs officers, civilians. Among them are officers, Heroes of Ukraine, defenders of “Azovstal”.
In particular, 118 soldiers of the National Guard, 9 policemen and 9 border guards were released from Russian captivity.
Among the released were 10 foreigners who fought for Ukraine and who were threatened with death.
Ukraine exchanged its heroes for 50 Russian citizens and a person with a Ukrainian passport — Viktor Medvedchuk.
We have proved once again that Ukraine will never leave its defenders.
