The attacker posed as a relative of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and assured that he could agree to “get” the position of head of the department in the law enforcement structure. The price of the service is 60 thousand US dollars.

Employees of the Department of Internal Security of the National Police exposed a man who posed as a cousin of the interior minister and convinced that thanks to family ties he could help get a senior position in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Operators of the Security Service of the National Police established that a 41-year-old native of Ternopil, who in 2017 received Russian citizenship, was involved in the illegal actions. The husband is a private entrepreneur, from time to time on business in Kiev. However, in addition to the legal business of selling animals, it is engaged in forgery of operational coupons of law enforcement agencies.

In a conversation with a friend, the attacker assured that he is a close relative of the Minister of Internal Affairs and can “negotiate” for 60 thousand US dollars for the chair of the director of one of the departments.

Under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the information was entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under Part 3 of Art. 369-2 (Abuse of influence) and part 3 of Art. 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

With the physical support of the fighters of the rapid response department of the DVB, the so-called “relative of a high-ranking official” was detained while receiving an advance payment of 10 thousand US dollars. Police investigators are preparing a suspect for the man.

Before choosing a preventive measure, the attacker is detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
