Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Leonid Tymchenko thanked police officers and cadets for their work on the Potter.net project
Addressing those present, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Tymchenko noted the importance of creating the web resource “Poter.net”, because it is thanks to his work that the Ministry of Internal Affairs records information about every Russian occupier killed in Ukraine.
“The work that you have been doing over the last year is very important, and it is aimed primarily at our enemy. As you know, the political leadership of Russia has never recognized the losses, but thanks to our joint work, the civilian population of the Russian Federation has finally begun to learn about the true figures of the dead occupiers,” said Leonid Tymchenko.
The Deputy Minister noted that as of August 4, the website, which is accessible to everyone, contains information about 61,431 occupiers who died on the territory of Ukraine. We are talking about the surname, first name, patronymic, place and date of death, as well as photos of the invaders.
Visitors to the site, in particular, from the territory of Russia also have the opportunity to check whether the data of their relatives or relatives are contained in this database.
The project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Poter.Net” was implemented in cooperation with the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in particular, the Coordination Headquarters on the Treatment of Prisoners of War (project “I Want to Live”) and the National Police of Ukraine.
The aim of the project is to counter disinformation and propaganda narratives of the Kremlin regarding the course of the Russian-Ukrainian war by reporting objective and verified data on Russian losses in the war against Ukraine.
As Leonid Tymchenko noted, since the launch of the web resource “Poter.net”, the number of Russian servicemen who surrender to captivity has increased significantly.
