Fierce fighting in Bakhmut and wounded in Soledar: the battle path of the border guard Alexander
The man comes from Vinnytsia region, in his life he mastered various professions and skills. For 7 years he conquered the seas and oceans, was a sailor on a merchant ship. Over time, he became a trucker and covered thousands of kilometers of roads in Europe.
However, the war unleashed by Russia made adjustments to the life of her husband and Alexander defended the Motherland. For some time, the unit in which Alexander served went to Chernihiv region, and later to Donetsk region.
“We got into the very hell where the fighting went on around the clock,” the military says.
The combat unit held the defense in the area of Bakhmut. Subsequently, their group was transferred to Soledar. There, the soldier was seriously wounded.
Alexander hardly remembers that day. He, along with his brothers, first helped to evacuate the wounded, and then it was necessary to deliver ammunition to the positions. At this time, the enemy began to mercilessly attack them, the guys gave a decent rebuff. During the fight, recharging the machine, he felt unbearable pain in his shoulder, he realized - he was wounded, then a blow to the head.
“I didn't immediately realize that the bullet had gone through the helmet. For a while I lost consciousness. When I came to my senses, I began to call the guys, but, unfortunately, no one called back, I did not see them. The enemy continued to cover us,” Oleksandr says.
Wounded, losing consciousness, the man everywhere in the barrage of fire decided to make his way to his positions in order to call for help and pull the boys out.
“Already reaching my brothers, I realized that I was protected by some invisible force. After all, I was just in the palm of my hand, walking under the bullets and none of them hit me. By that time, the enemy had approached positions from both sides. Unfortunately, the boys could not be reached. Today their fate is not known — they are considered missing,” the military says sadly.
The man received a through shoulder injury, head injury and contusion. Today, Alexander, having undergone treatment, is back in good health.
“I want victory and peace. We are fighting for our country, for our land, for our family and friends, for our future,” the border guard adds.
